A few years ago my daughter Lisa Kysela and I went on the most amazing ride in South Africa and we want to share this experience with all of our horse friends! Lisa and I love to go on interesting rides around the world and went searching for a wild animal safari ride in South Africa.
We found the most fantastic safari with Wait A Little www.africanhorsesafari.com. The owners, Philip and Gerti Kusseler, provide wonderful horses, fantastic animal views including the cats (only two safari outfitters are qualified to do this!), amazing tent accomodations and superb meals (I am still working the extra pounds off).
In addition to running the safari, the Kusselers are very dedicated and supportive of a wonderful school in their "neighborhood". The school is Daktari Bush School and Wildlife Orphanage www.daktaribushschool.org This school is dedicated to the preservation of wildlife and the conservation education of South African children. The objective is to eliminate poaching and preserve natural wildlife habitats.
We were so impressed with both of these organizations that we wanted to spread the word to our American horse friends. In hopes that you (and a riding friend) can plan a safari soon!
